Jakob Jautz studierte zeitgenössischen Zirkus der Hochschule „Fontys ACAPA-Academy for Circus and Performance Art“ in den Niederlanden. Anschließend erweiterte er sein künstlerisches Repertoire durch eine Ausbildung am „SEAD Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance“, die er 2018 mit einem Major in Tanz und Choreografie abschloss.
Neben der Entwicklung seiner Eigenen arbeiten, arbeitet er mit Jan Lauwers Needcompany (BE), Groupe Nuite (FR), Yuri Korec & Co (SK), Katja Büchtemann (DE), Eva Preickova (SK) Julia Schwarzbach (AT) sowie Milla Koistinen (FI).
In den letzten Jahren fokussierte er sich mehr und mehr auf die Arbeit in und mit Wäldern. 2022 entstand traces, a performativ walk in and with a forest, welches seit dem Europa weit gezeigt wird und für Perform Europe ausgewählt wurde. \
